The Jason Clifford Milochello will make his Victorian debut today when he lines up in a 1500m Betfair 0-78 Handicap event at Sandown. Milochello has certainly earned an interstate trip having been ultra consistent for two seasons in Tasmania, before winning his last three races in convincing fashion. Clifford was initially worried with the condition Milochello had lost following his boat trip to Victoria, but is happy with how Milochello has recovered. "It crossed my mind that I would have to scrap our Melbourne plans for Milochello after he struggled to recover from the trip over and was unable to settle in". "Thankfully, he turned the corner and we have been able to have him right on the day", Clifford went on to say. Milochello is being stabled with leading Victorian trainer Leon Corstens and Clifford says that both he and the horse are learning a lot from the experience. "It is great to see how the business is conducted over here and to be able to have Leon's ear has been a great opportunity for me". "It has also been a great chance to work Milochello and Loaded Owners with a few 'Victorian metro' quality horses and see how they perform, its been very exciting". Milochello will race at 3.35pm in race 5 at Sandown, with premier jockey Steven Arnold on board.
