On a cold Sunday at Hobart Milochello was able to warm the Derwent Racing Team member's wallets up with a Stylish 1400m Class one victory. The ultra consistent gelding looked the best bet of the day on paper and made an impressive move 600m from home to take the lead upon straightening and score an easy two length victory pleasing trainer Jason Clifford. "He just loves the wet and doesn't put in a bad performance", gloated Clifford who was also very impressed with the $2.70 the Tote offered about the horse. "This looked an ideal race and I expect him to go through a few grades during the winter months". Jockey Brendan McCoull believes the turn of foot he showed on the heavy track is a warning for his rivals over the next few months. "This horse has been more of a grinder in the past and on the harder tracks but on the heavy going he just rounded them up in a flash", said McCoull who believed he made his run too early in hindsight. Milochello will continue to race through winter and Clifford will be looking to get him out to a mile at some stage. "I believe he is going to be a real miler, but i don't want to step him up too much so I will see what races are coming up", said Clifford.
